Swiss give Search & Rescue copters to Pakistan

Scrap for the Swiss (“will be withdrawn from service by the end of the year due to their obsolescence. They have lost relevance in Switzerland and must therefore be disposed of”), but still a good gesture to give the Alouette III helicopters for free to Pakistan for Search & Rescue purposes. There are many who would charge very heavily even for obsolete hardware, but the Swiss made a nice decision. Given the dire need of S&R copters, these helicopters would be most handy even if they may not last long given their age. For any being worried about potential use as military craft, these copters do no lend themselves to being equipped with weapons due to technical reasons, and also do not fall under the category of military equipment under Swiss export law.
