USA appoints & supports cold blooded murderer as “Police chief?”

US has been actively supporting a warlord in Afghanistan who not only is involved in drug running, corruption but also in COLD BLOODED MURDER OF INNOCENT CIVILIANS. US knows the credibility of the crimes of this murderer, but continues to support him as the Police Chief of Kandahar. What are his credentials? Well, he fights the Taliban; so the US is perfectly happy to turn a blind eye to his killing ways and other ‘transgressions’. About how he murdered his rivals in cold blood and then tried to stage it so that it appeared as if they were insurgents crossing from Pakistan. And that is the story of Afghan Army and Police and other institutions being touted by Americans as the future controlling bodies operating in Afghanistan. So, the US keeps harping about Taliban, human rights, terrorism, murder etc. But it is all a sham. As long as the murderers serve US interests and goals, there is no crime that can’t be ‘overlooked’.

USA is demonizing Haqqani network, Pakistan and ISI. Pretty convenient fall guys. These are the same Haqqanis and mujahideen that were lauded by Charlie Wilson as “goodness personified” and you can find the pics of them being hosted in the White House by none other than President Ronald Reagan. Typical US strategy. When they were fighting soviet occupation, they were heores. But, resist against the US occupation and they are all terorists, a danger to the whole free world. As long as US interests are protected, then the Zardaris, Saddams … are pals and friends. When they have outlived their utility, then suddenly the US feels the need to talk about human rights and other crimes as if it has only now learned of these misdeeds.

These warlods and murderers are the ones running the Afghan Army/Police and they are being touted as the FUTURE of Afghanistan. Shame on USA. But oddly it is probably appropriate. Murderers and Killers being supported and propped by up the murdering American Govt. and Military. A fitting alliance. From top to bottom, from Karzai to such ‘police chiefs’, these are drug runners, murderers and criminals. But, then again when you look at the Bushes, Cheney, Obamas, the Mullens, the Petraeus, down to the soldiers collecting finger trophies and killing children for sport, then this unholy marriage makes perfect sense.

US Terrorism on Guatemalans: “Medical” experiments

As Grim Details Emerge, Guatemalan Victims Seek Justice for U.S. Medical Experiments in 1940s

A White House bioethics commission has revealed gruesome new details about venereal disease experiments from 1946 to 1948 in which U.S. medical officials intentionally infected Guatemalan sex workers, prisoners, soldiers and mental patients with syphilis in order to study the effects of penicillin. The commission concluded that nearly 5,500 Guatemalans were subjected to diagnostic testing — without their consent — and more than 1,300 were exposed to venereal diseases by contact or inoculations.

was that of a mental patient named Berta, he described. “She was first deliberately infected with syphilis and, months later, given penicillin. After that, Dr. John C. Cutler of the Public Health Service, who led the experiments, described her as so unwell that she ‘appeared she was going to die.’ Nonetheless, he inserted pus from a male gonorrhea victim into her eyes, urethra and rectum. Four days later, infected in both eyes and bleeding from the urethra, she died.”

U.S. Media Double Standards

Glenn Greenwald: Norway Attacks Expose U.S. Media’s Double Standard on “Terrorism”

Some quotes,

And it just struck me that when we think that Muslims are responsible for violence aimed at Western nations, it receives a huge amount of attention in the American media, and yet when the United States brings violence on that level to Muslim countries, kills an equal number of civilians, dozens of people killed by drone attacks and the like, and tons of people killed that way over Afghanistan over the past decade, it barely registers. I mean, an attack like this, this level of death in Iraq, for example, or Afghanistan, would barely register on the media scale.

Bush official + Fox News,

Well, unsurprisingly, if you combine a Bush terrorism official with Fox News, you’re going to get what you got there, which is too many factually false statements to even count. But I’ll just highlight a couple of them.

On the propaganda against Muslims

But the idea that Islamic terrorism is some sort of unique threat is completely belied by the E.U.’s own statistic. This idea of equating Muslims with terrorism is an incredibly propagandistic and deceitful term. The idea is to suggest that, as several of your guests were saying, that Islam is some sort of existential threat to Western civilization, to Europe and the like, and it’s propagated with this myth that terrorism is an Islamic problem. And that’s why the idea that the establishment media in the United States and in political circles equates terrorism, as a matter of definition, with violence by Muslims is so problematic, because it promotes this lie that terrorism is a function of Islamic ideology.

The lack of scrutiny of the inspiration for these murderers

That you would think that—you would think that in response to this attack, we would end up doing things like, for example, profiling Nordic males or tall, blond Americans, tall, blond, Nordic-looking people at airports, or would start to, for example, engage in surveillance on the communications of people who belong to right-wing groups in Europe, or you look at the people who inspire these attacks, people like Robert Spencer or Pamela Geller, people who engage in this sort of strident anti-Muslim commentary who inspired this individual.

Peter King Hearings & Islamophobia under the garb of terrorism hearings

And you would expect that Peter King’s hearings, if he were really interested in the threat of violence or terrorism, would be expanded to include what we now know is a very real threat, and yet it isn’t, which simply underscores that those hearings, like so many of these measures done in the name of terrorism, is really just a vehicle for demonizing Muslims, restricting their rights, subjecting them to increased scrutiny. It’s about Islamophobia and not about terrorism.

..

And yet, the minute that it turned out that the perpetrator wasn’t Muslim, but instead was this right-wing figure, the exact opposite view arose, which is, “Oh, his views and associations aren’t relevant. It’s not fair to attribute or to blame people who share his views or who inspired him with these acts.” And it got depicted as being this sort of individual crazy person with no broader political meaning, and media interest disappeared. It’s exactly the opposite of how it’s treated when violence is undertaken by someone who’s Muslim.

The noble US of A!

How noble of the wonderful USA. Truly, yet another shameful display by a country that habitually likes to chide the world about freedoms, justice and what not. But, their actions speak far far louder than any rhetoric. The US is well and fully the slave state of israel which dictates the US foreign policy, economic policy and military provisions.

Congress Threatens Palestinians With Aid Cutoff Over Statehood Bid

The House has overwhelmingly approved a measure opposing the Palestinian effort to seek statehood recognition at the United Nations this fall. The Palestinian Authority is preparing to ask the U.N. General Assembly to recognize a Palestinian state in the Occupied Territories along the 1967 borders. The non-binding House resolution calls for a suspension of U.S. aid to Palestinians if they continue with the statehood bid. It passed by a vote of 400-to-6, following a similar vote in the Senate last month.

America, War … Air Conditioners, Thieving Soldiers, Child Killers

Stories speak for themselves

Among The Costs Of War: Billions A Year In A.C.?

The amount the U.S. military spends annually on air conditioning in Iraq and Afghanistan: $20.2 billion, according to a former Pentagon official.

That’s more than NASA’s budget.

U.S. Returns Small Number of Stolen Iraqi Artifacts

The United States has returned a few dozen national artifacts stolen from Iraq during the U.S.-led invasion of 2003. Thousands of priceless items were smuggled out of Iraq by U.S. military personnel and contractors after the U.S. seized Baghdad. On Thursday, U.S. officials handed over around 30 items to Iraq’s U.S. Ambassador at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Around half of the stolen Iraqi artifacts have been returned, but thousands remain missing.

Afghans Protest Deadly U.S.-Led Air Strike

Hundreds of people rallied in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Khost Thursday over a U.S.-led NATO air strike that killed at least 11 civilians. The attack was one of the deadliest by the U.S.-led occupation force against Afghan civilians this year.

Protester: “I ask Karzai to pull out these American and NATO forces from our country, if he is able. If Karzai does not listen to our request, we will call for a jihad against America, just as we did against Soviet Russia. You can come and look at those killed in this bombing: three men and eight children, including a one-year old and a two-year old.

Hearts and Minds? …

Wonder why they hate US? What about the failure of the much touted COIN strategy in Afghanistan? The desperate killing spree by shadowy American units killing Afghan civilians – men, women & children – in unprecedented numbers. The razing of entire villages, the dead children, the desperate tactics resulting in immense suffering & death. How can anyone EVER wonder why they hate US?

Benazir, Blackwater & AL-Qaida

Jeremy Scahill (award winning investigative journalist who has carried out extensive investigations into Blackwater dealings around the world) has some startling relevations in his Sept 15, 2010 article in the Nation regarding Benazir and Blackwater. The article @ Blackwater’s Black Ops The pertinent passage being the first paragraph on the 2nd page.

Also almost same quote from his interview on Democracy Now,

JEREMY SCAHILL:

Perhaps what is going to be most eye-raising for some in Pakistan about what I’ve reported is the idea that Benazir Bhutto worked with Blackwater in the months leading up to her death. There’s an email that I obtained from Rob Richer, the former deputy director of operations at CIA working for Blackwater at the time, where it is revealed that American security has been hired by Bhutto. And richer writes back—and I think it’s important to quote this exactly as he said it—he writes to the other analysts for Blackwater and Total Intelligence Solutions, and he says, “We need to watch this carefully from a number of angles. If our name surfaces, the Pakistani press reaction will be very important. How that plays through the Muslim world will also need tracking.” Richer wrote, quote, “We should be prepared to [sic] a communique from an affiliate of Al-Qaida if our name surfaces,” meaning Blackwater. “That will impact the security [profile].” There’s a word missing there, or there’s a typo. “We should be prepared to”—what—”a communique.” It’s unclear. And the missing word or the typo there will dictate, of course, the full meaning of that message, because Benazir Bhutto was assassinated two months later. So I’m sure that this bears much further scrutiny by the Bhutto family and the Pakistani government. This really needs to be investigated, what role Blackwater had in Benazir Bhutto’s security operations.
